Man drinks beer during DUI stop

A Florida man who was stopped Thursday on suspicion of drunk driving chugged a beer as he was being arrested, according to the Miami Herald.

Police say Daryl Royal Riedel, 48, got out of his truck during the stop and went on to open a can of beer, raise it and then quickly drink it. Riedel has three prior DUI charges with a fourth from 2017 pending.

Riedel is facing several charges including felony DUI, fleeing from a deputy, driving with a suspended license and failure to submit a breath test. Riedel being held without bond.
