A 25-year-old Madison man faces numerous charges after he was kicked out of a bar early Wednesday morning, and tried to fight staff after it happened.

The incident occurred outside Whiskey Jack’s Saloon just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.

According to police, Jose Garcia Jr. was escorted outside the bar by staff after starting a disturbance. But once he was outside, Garcia tried to push his way back in.

Polices said staff attempted to keep Garcia from going inside, and ended up taking him to the ground while other staff called police.

While on the ground, police said Garcia punched one of the staff members, causing to have a laceration near the eye. The victim was taken to a local emergency room where he received several stitches near the eye.

Garcia faces several charges, including substantial battery and disorderly conduct.
