Man carrying gun, knife, baton arrested outside downtown Madison bar

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police said officers arrested a man carrying a gun, knife and baton outside a downtown bar early Sunday following a disturbance.

Jamison A. Adler, 28, of Madison, was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and carrying a gun where alcohol is sold and consumed, according to a release by the Madison Police Department.

Police were dispatched to Danny’s Pub, located on W. Gorham Street, around 12:15 a.m. Sunday.

Employees said Adler tried to cut in line of people waiting to get inside and became angry when he was denied re-entry to the bar.

According to the release, employees told police Adler smacked the bar’s front door with a baton and struck the front window with a knife asking staff to come out and fight.

Madison police said Adler yelled at responding officers while being arrested.
