Victim, suspect were paused in cars at light on Gammon Road
MADISON, Wis. — Police said a man brandished a handgun from his car Monday morning while threatening a woman, whose car was paused next to him in traffic.
The 28-year-old Madison woman told police she was idling at a stoplight at about 8:30 a.m. on South Gammon Road when a four-door silver car pulled up next to her. The man driving motioned for her to roll down her window, police said. After she did, the man threatened her and produced a handgun, according to the report. The victim told police she was frightened and drove off.
Police said the black man driving the silver car was described as between 27-33 years old, 6 feet tall with short hair, a dark complexion, facial scars and was “scruffy looking.” Police also said he was wearing a black stocking cap and a gray sweatshirt.
According to the report, the woman believed the man who threatened her in traffic may be connected to a man she was previously dating.
