Man attacked, robbed at gunpoint on west side, police say

Two men reportedly attacked and robbed a man at gunpoint on Madison’s west side early Sunday morning, according to a release.

Police said a 24-year-old Madison man was walking home from a bar in the 7400 block of Mineral Point Road around 2:30 a.m. when two men pulled up to him in a white car.

The victim told police one man pointed a gun at him while another man punched him.

According to the release, one of the men stole the 24-year-old’s wallet and phone.

The victim was treated at the scene by EMS, officials said.

The first attacker is described as black, in his 20s with dreadlocks. He was wearing all dark clothing and had a semi-automatic pistol. The second attacker is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighed about 180 pounds. He was wearing a red sweatshirt.
