Man arrested in connection with on-campus battery, robbery, police say
MADISON, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin, Madison, Police Department arrested a man Friday morning in connection with a Dec. 12 incident where a man was found injured outside a UW campus building, according to an incident report.
Joseph T. Dettweiler, 58, was arrested and booked into the Dane County Jail on felony charges of substantial battery, robbery with use of force and a parole violation, according to the report.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the incident and has since been released.
Dettweiler is not affiliated with UW-Madison, police said.
According to the report, the investigation is ongoing.
