Man arrested for sixth drunk driving offense after rear-end collision, police say
MADISON, Wis. — A Windsor man was arrested for his sixth OWI following a traffic collision on Madison’s East Side on Friday, police said.
According to an incident report, a 27-year-old driver was stopped at a red light when his car was struck from behind, sending him into the grassy median. Police arrested Kennen M. Hawkins, 57, for his sixth OWI following the crash.
Police said both vehicles suffered serious damage and both individuals were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. After being treated, the suspect went to jail.
