Man allegedly not wearing seat belt faces OWI charge
State trooper notices evidence of alcohol consumption during traffic stop
BOSCOBEL, Wis. — A Blue River man was arrested on drunken driving charges Saturday night after a state trooper made contact with him for allegedly not wearing a seat belt.
Robert A. Dilley, 51, was going in the opposite direction of a state trooper in the city of Boscobel around 7 p.m., officials said.
The trooper noticed Dilley was not wearing his seat belt so the trooper turned around and caught up with Dilley’s vehicle as he turned into Tall Tails Liquor Store, according to the release. Dilley had since put his seat belt on.
The trooper made contact with Dilley and noticed evidence of alcohol consumption, authorities said.
Dilley was subsequently arrested for sixth-offense operating a motor vehicle under the influence.]
