Man accused of wielding machete, barricading self
Police: Charges are pending
MADISON, Wis. — Police apprehended a 26-year-old Madison man Wednesday for allegedly breaking into a neighbor’s apartment with a machete and barricading himself for hours.
Police responded to the 200 block of East Mifflin Street about 8 p.m. Police said the man barricaded himself inside his own apartment.
After several hours of trying to get the man to surrender, police said officers entered the apartment and the man was taken into custody at 3:37 a.m. Friday.
Police said charges are pending at this time.
