Make Music Madison returns Tuesday

MADISON, Wis. — Make Music Madison returns on Tuesday.

Every year on June 21 to mark the summer solstice, musicians perform all day at a variety of unique venues, ranging from parks to front porches and coffee shops.

The event, which is marking its 40th year, encourages people to get involved, meet their neighbors and come together to hear music performed by anyone.

“Tomorrow is going to be all about getting out seeing live music, enjoying the beautiful day and meeting your neighbors and learning about live musicians,” said Meri Rose Ekberg, the event’s managing director.

More than 165 performances are scheduled featuring more than 1,000 different artists. To learn more, click here.
