Check out these spots for jazz
Many local restaurants and bars feature jazz on a semi-regular basis, including The Brink Lounge, Liliana’s Restaurant, The Rigby, Twist Bar, Mason Lounge, Alchemy Cafe, Nomad World Pub and Louisianne’s.
Some of the more cutting edge performances can be seen at the Arts + Literature Laboratory, and a slew of great free events take place in the Memorial Union’s Fredric March Play Circle.

The annual event will highlight the 50th anniversary of the UW Jazz Orchestra and feature trumpeter and UW-Madison jazz faculty member Marquis Hill.
Capital City Jazz Fest
Wyndham Garden Hotel, Fitchburg
This will be the 30th and final fest put on by the Madison Jazz Society. As of press time, tickets for performances on Saturday, April 28, were soldout but tickets for April 27 and 29 were still available. Free kickoff 7-10 p.m.,Thursday, April 26.

This will be the 31st Isthmus Jazz Festival.
The Madison Reunion
Memorial Union-Shannon Hall
“Reunion Blues Unplugged” panelists Ben Sidran and Boz Scaggs–both former members of the Steve Miller Band–and Mother Earth’s Tracy Nelson will talk about ’60s music, with instruments at the ready.
