Madison Police search for robbers
Victim said suspects stole $160 Air Jordan sneakers
MADISON, Wis. — Madison Police are looking for two teens after a robbery Monday morning. Officials said it happened just before 11 a.m. in the 1500 block of Troy Drive.
A 22-year-old Madison man said a group of teens stole his new tennis shoes. The victim told officers four to five people attacked him with two of the teens leading the assault. The victim said he was knocked to the ground, punched, and kicked during the incident. He said the group took his black and white Air Jordan sneakers, which he said were worth $160.
The two male teens who led the assault were between 15 and 17 years old, police said.
The victim also told Madison police officers the same group of people tried to contact him Sunday night because they believed the victim had stolen money from someone in the group. The victim said he didn’t take any money from the teens, and he said it was a case of mistaken identity.
