Madison police respond to weapons offense near west side

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police responded to a weapons offense near the west side Saturday morning.

According to Madison police, the victim was turning westbound onto Mineral Point Road at 3:59 a.m. when she thought she heard fireworks.

Police said she pulled over at a gas station and found her car was struck by a bullet.

The victim was not injured.
