Madison police respond to armed robbery at Harry’s Market Sunday, officials say

The Madison police department responded to reports of an armed robbery at Harry’s Market Sunday, officials said.

Police responded at 2:12 p.m. to the market on 555 W.Mifflin St., according to officials.

The suspect is described as a male wearing a dark blue jacket with a checkered pattern on the shoulders, blue jeans, dark tennis shoes, and a ski mask, according to an incident report.

The man was carrying a black handgun and demanded money, which he allegedly put in a yellow bag, police said.

Police said the suspect then fled and likely changed into a dark orange jacket while in an alley.

Officials are on the scene and request any additional information on the suspect be sent to the City of Madison Police Department.
