Madison police respond to armed robbery at gas station

MADISON, Wis. — Two men displayed guns during a robbery at a gas station on the city’s east side, according to the Madison Police Department.
The incident happened at the Citgo Gas Station at 3401 Milwaukee St. around 9 p.m. Monday.
A handgun and shotgun were shown during the robbery, according to a release by the Madison Police Department.
The pair robbed the clerk and ran through several backyards to a vehicle on Thorp St., police said.
Officers are speaking to several witnesses and collecting video evidence of the robbery.
