Madison police look for suspect in alleged hit-and-run
MADISON, Wis. — An infant and the adult carrying that baby were injured Monday after a car hit them on Madison’s east side, police said.
The person was crossing North Marquette Street near East Washington Avenue, carrying the child in a car seat around 6 p.m.
Detectives said they were hit by a large SUV with lights over the windshield and chrome running boards.
That vehicle was last seen turning onto East Washington Avenue and crossing Highway 30.
Both of the victims had non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to be OK.
