MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station overnight on the city’s near west side.

Police say the robbery happened at 9:48 p.m. Tuesday at the BP station at 2216 University Ave. Two men wearing black hooded sweatshirts, sweatpants and masks and demanded money from the clerk while one of the men showed a gun.

The two robbers ran away after getting $240 in cash. Police say they used a K-9 to track the men and are recovering video evidence from the store.
