Madison Police Department selects three new K-9 officers
MADISON, Wis. — A group of officers from the Madison Police Department recently traveled to Pennsylvania to select the department’s newest K-9 officers.
Officers Sarah Boespflug, Andrew Strachota and Josh Bower will head back to Shallow Creek Kennels in March to begin their handler training, according to a release on the Madison Police Department’s website.
After the six-week training program, the officers will start additional training with the department’s K-9 unit before going solo.
