Madison man arrested on suspicion of 6th offense OWI

MADISON, Wis. — A Madison man was arrested on suspicion of sixth-offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated early Sunday morning.

According to the incident report, the man was pulled over at the intersection of East Washington Avenue and Highway 30 at 12:23 a.m.

Officials said the driver, Dustin A. Cain, 39, had a cut above his eye. The report said Cain’s car also had significant front-end damage.

Cain told police his girlfriend struck him and that he ran over a stop sign while in Fitchburg.

The Fitchburg Police Department said it did not find any downed stop signs and that officials did not immediately know how the car got damaged.

A caller said they saw Cain’s car before the traffic stop after it was seen speeding and driving recklessly.
