Madison man arrested on suspicion of 4th offense OWI

MIDDLETON, Wis. — Middleton police arrested a Madison man early Thursday morning after an officer saw a vehicle in the 7100 block of Elmwood Avenue cross the center line and leave its lane of traffic multiple times.

According to an incident report, when the officer conducted a traffic stop they noted a strong smell of intoxicants coming from the vehicle.

Police identified the man as 46-year-old Eric Morgan. Morgan was subsequently submitted to field sobriety testing and arrested for fourth-offense OWI, which is a felony.

Morgan was also cited for operating after revocation of his driver’s license and deviating from designated traffic lane.
