Madison man arrested on 6th OWI, police say
MADISON, Wis. — A Dane County deputy arrested Christopher Stewart, 49, of Madison, at 10:30 p.m. Saturday on his alleged sixth offense operating while intoxicated, officials said.
According to a news release, the deputy stopped Stewart for allegedly driving 71 mph in a 55 mph zone on U.S. Highway 12 near Rimrock Road.
Stewart provided a breath sample allegedly indicating a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent and was booked into the Dane County Jail on a felony OWI, the release said.
According to officials, Stewart was also cited for operating after revocation, speeding, failure to have an ignition interlock device, no insurance and operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration.
