Madison Man arrested after Town of Windsor crash

A 61-year-old Madison man was arrested after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 51 in the Town of Windsor on Monday afternoon.
Dane County sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash, located near Mueller Road, at about 3:50 p.m.
Investigators said that they believe David C. Cockings was traveling southbound on Highway 51 in a Chevy Trailblazer and apparently went off the road and struck a road sign. His vehicle then came back on the roadway and crossed into the northbound lane and collided with another vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle, Jordan M. Walker, 29, of Pardeeville received minor injuries and was transported to University of Wisconsin Hospital, according to a Dane County news release.
Cockings was arrested on suspicion of sixth-offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and causing injuries. He was also cited for operating a vehicle after revocation and for operating a vehicle left of center.
