Madison man accused of producing child porn using a cellphone, authorities say

MADISON, Wis. — A Madison man has been charged with producing child pornography, according to a news release from the Office of U.S. Attorney Scott C. Blader representing the Western District of Wisconsin.
Diorian Smith, 29, was federally indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday, Blader’s office said. He’s accused of two counts of using a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of the conduct.
The indictment alleges that between November 2017 and November 2018, he produced child pornography videos using a cellphone.
The release said if Smith is convicted, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in federal prison for each count.
