Dane County Farmers' Market gears up for outdoor season opening day

The first of the season will be Saturday

The Dane County Farmers' Market is gearing up to open on Capitol Square this Saturday.

According to a release, opening day is Saturday from 6:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. The market is the largest producer-only farmers' market in the U.S. Every Saturday, vendors will sell fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs, cheese, meat, poultry, honey, nuts, jelly, baked goods, plants and more.

The first Wednesday market on the 200 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard will be April 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

The markets will be open every Saturday and every Wednesday from April 13 through Nov. 16.
