Giordano's, the popular Chicago-based, deep dish pizza chain, intends to open a location in Madison.
According to a page on the Giordano's website, the chain plans to bring locations to Madison and Kenosha near Milwaukee. The chain also says it has plans to open in Beaver Creek, Ohio, Des Moines, Iowa and Peoria, Illinois.
At one point Giordano's had a location in Milwaukee, but it closed in 2002. There currently are no locations in Wisconsin, so the future Madison and Kenosha locations will mark a return to Wisconsin for Giordano's.
The restaurant, which first opened in 1974 on Chicago's south side, is known for deep dish pizza, stuffed pizza, salads, pastas and more.
Giordano's has since grown to have more than 50 locations nationwide.
