Full Mile Beer Co. & Kitchen is officially open in Sun Prairie, serving up small batch, handcrafted beers and comfort food.
The new spot, which opened Tuesday, has been a project years in the making, according to its website. Co-owners Nathan Kinderman and C.J. Hall decided to open a brewery and restaurant and received their license with the state in late 2015.
Both owners have experience in the restaurant and beer industry. Kinderman was a bar manager at Sardine and a co-owner of Gates & Brovi. Hall is a marketing, graphic design and web design expert who also was a home brewer in his spare time.
Full Mile Beer Co. & Kitchen will make its own beers in a variety of styles, like German pilsners and Belgian farmhouse ales. The brewery has a 10-barrel, three-vessel system that can produce 310 gallons per batch, or 2,480 pints of beer. The head brewmaster is Skyler Kottwitz, who worked at Octopi Brewing and New Glarus Brewing Co.
When it comes to food, Full Mile Beer Co. & Kitchen will serve comfort foods including sandwiches, snacks and handcrafted pizzas. The website says it plans to locally source ingredients when possible and menu items will complement beer and the other spirits offered.
Full Mile Beer Co. & Kitchen will be open Tuesday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
