Not everyone is looking for the same kind of New Year's Eve celebration. If you're headed out on the last day of 2017 in Madison, take a look through this listing to find fun events for the kids, for the early-to-bed partiers, for the dancers and for the up-all-nighters. Happy New Year!

EARLY NIGHTS AND FAMILY-FRIENDLY CELEBRATIONS

Pre-party at Karben4
Hit up Karben4 for a pre-party—staff is tapping a firkin of Champagne Tortoise cask-conditioned with Earl Grey Tea, there's a brunch menu going until 4 p.m. and a Fischer Family Farm meat raffle will kick off a half hour before the Packers kick off. If you're needing to find your center ahead of a night of clinking drinks, there are two New Year's Eve yoga events taking place in Madison. The first is from 6-7:15 p.m. at EarthView Yoga's soulful Vinyasa class with Marina Koyen featuring music by DJ Mu. (A disco ball might be involved.) Click here for more info. Bring the kids to this NYE party at KEVA Sports Center, Monona Terrace, Madison Ice Arena and Hartmeyer Ice Arena for circus shows, musical shows, magic acts, puppet shows, sciences shows, comedy shows and more—there's at least six different themed shows every hour at Monona Terrace. Take a Madison Eats Food Tour at One Barrel Brewing Co.
Sample food and drink from some of Madison's favorite restaurants and bars at Madison's Eats Food Tours' celebration taking place at One Barrel Brewing Co. Jam out early at Bos Meadery

Join in on a family-friendly afternoon party at Camp Trippalindee at the Graduate Madison hotel for games, prizes and s'mores. WEEKEND 608 PICK: Watch an impromptu show at Bartell Theatre
The Madison theater scene gets into the spirit of the new year by setting themselves a unique challenge. On Saturday night, a group of writers, directors and actors will gather to draw challenges out of a hat. Then on Sunday night, just 24 hours later, they will take their challenges to the Drury Stage to perform before an audience. Anything could happen, so be there to see it. WEEKEND 608 PICK: Catch a folk/cabaret show at Goodman Community Center
This will be the 16th annual Peter & Lou Berryman’s Early New Year’s Eve Show, with half of the proceeds going to the east side Goodman Community Center. There will be door prizes and surprises in addition to the Berryman’s signature quippy and zany Madison- and Wisconsin-centric folk tunes.
