Madison first responders remember 9/11 attacks with moment of silence, blood drive
MADISON, Wis. — The Madison Police Department and Madison Fire Department Honor Guards are leading a ceremony in remembrance of the victims of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, Wednesday morning. Madison Police Chief Mike Koval and Fire Chief Steve Davis will give remarks and lead a moment of silence.
In addition to the event, the Red Cross is on hand to receive blood donations. The blood drive is from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The remembrance ceremony begins at 8 a.m.
Both events are at the Madison Fire Department’s newest station at 3201 Dairy Drive.
