Madison Father Finds Support For His Sons’ Gravestones

A grieving Madison father is thanking the community for its support after an anonymous donor has come forward to help pay for gravestones for his two sons.

Kevin McArthur said on Thursday that he had saved about $500 since July when his 3- and 4-year-old sons, Kevin and Kemaury McArthur, were killed — allegedly at the hands of their mother’s boyfriend.

In less than 24 hours after McArthur’s story was featured on WISC-TV and Channel 3000.com, someone stepped up to help out McArthur.

“This morning, an anonymous donor did come forward and offer to purchase the headstones for both of Kevin?s sons. And it is a wonderful story. Sad circumstances, but I think this can put this to rest for Kevin and he can start to heal and move on,” Kathy Utley said, McArthur?s boss at the Goodman Community Center.

McArthur said he is very happy and grateful for the outpouring of support

It’s not clear when the grave stones will be put in place, WISC-TV reported.
