Madison College starts student food pantry at Truax Campus
MADISON, Wis. — Madison College started a new food pantry with non-perishable items for students.
According to a Facebook post, the food pantry is designed to help students who are dealing with hunger. The four regional campuses at Watertown, Portage, Reedsburg and Fort Atkinson also have food pantries that are open to students. The food pantry has healthy food choices that students can prepare at home.
Students with a valid student ID who are enrolled in at least one degree credit course are able to access the Truax Campus Food Pantry.
Students can take up to 10 pounds of food one time per week for free. The student pantry is open Tuesdays from 12 to 2 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9 to 11 a.m.
