Madison Children’s Museum unveils new Wonderground
The new play space is suitable for all seasons
MADISON, Wis. — The Madison Children’s Museum unveiled its new Wonderground Saturday, after months of construction.
The four-seasons play space is built on a former parking lot and adds 10,000 square feet of play area to the museum.
The Wonderground features a 25-foot-tall climbing structure, a sensory trail, a historic cabin, a climbing space called ‘The Wormhole,” and a gathering space called “The Down Under.”
Work on the area began in April, and the museum intends to add to it all the way through 2022.
The entire space was made using local materials.
