Madison brothers, Fitchburg man face federal drug charges
Grand jury returns indictment
MADISON, Wis. — A grand jury in Madison has returned a 14-count federal indictment charging three men with conspiracy to distribute heroin and crack cocaine and distribution of heroin and crack cocaine.
Damian D. Smith, 23, and Kordarow Moore, 23, are brothers from Madison. Milton L. Moore, 22, is from Fitchburg.
All three were arrested in Aug. 23 and made their initial appearance in court Thursday.
Smith and Kordarow Moore face a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison and a maximum penalty of life, if convicted. Milton Moore faces a maximum penalty of twenty years in prison, if convicted.
A trial is scheduled for Feb. 25.
The charges are the result of an investigation conducted by Madison Police Department- Special Investigations Unit, the Dane County Narcotics and Gang Task Force, Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
