Madison Babies R Us to close
MADISON, Wis. — A Madison baby products retailer will close as a part of its parent company’s bankruptcy reorganization.
Toys R Us said it plans to close up to 182 stores , including the Babies R Us-branded store on Zeier Road.
The company filed for bankruptcy in September.
Toys R Us said some of the closings may be reversed if it can renegotiate better leases at some locations, but it wasn’t clear Wednesday which locations might be affected.
Going-out-of-business sales are expected to begin next month.
Another Wisconsin Babies R Us location, on West Bluemound Road in Brookfield, is also scheduled to close.
