1 injured during shooting on Madison’s east side

MADISON, Wis. —  One person was injured Sunday evening during a shooting on Madison’s east side.

It happened at 6:22 p.m. along the 4200 block of East Washington Avenue, according to an incident report from the Madison Police Department.

MPD and the Madison Fire Department responded and found an adult male with a single gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital and is considered stable, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
