Lynette L. Lucey
Lynette L. Lucey, 71, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Southwest Health Center in Platteville, WI.
Services will be held at 10:30am on Wed. May 21st at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City, WI with Father David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the St. Rose Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. Friends may call on Tues. May 20th from 4pm-8pm at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI and on Wed. May 21st from 9:30am until time of service at the church.
Lynette was born on Dec. 5, 1942 to Myron & Francis (Frawley) Manning in Richland Center, WI. She was a graduate of Richland Teaching College and UW-Platteville. She taught in area schools for over 47 yrs. at Cuba City Elementary, Immaculate Conception, St. Joseph’s and St. Mary’s. She married Jerome Lucey on April 24, 1965 in Richland Center, WI. She worked also at the Cuba City Meal site in Cuba City, WI. She enjoyed reading, shopping with her granddaughters, harness racing with her brother, Jim, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Cuba City Area Rescue Squad, Cuba City City Council and St. Rose Catholic Church. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lynette is survived by her husband, Jerome; her children: Jerome “Tony” (Susan) Lucey of Cuba City, WI and Denise(Lucey)Ellefson of Platteville, WI; 5 Grandchildren: Anthony (fiancée Lexi Bennett) Lucey, Jeremy Lucey, Jacob Lucey, Toni Lynne (Ian Cappaert) Ellefson and Kailey (Ryan Clare) Ellefson; 3 great grandchildren: Peyton, Carter & Zaiden; a special niece, Terri Pardee; 2 brothers: Michael Manning and Patrick Manning; along with nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers: James & Dennis Manning. In lieu of flowers a Lynette L. Lucey Memorial Fund has been established.
