Lyle K. Berry
Lyle K. Berry, age 87, of Boaz died on Monday, December 24, 2012 at William S. Middleton Veterans Hospital in Madison. He was born in Boaz on July 17, 1925, the son of Leon and Minnie (Dalberg) Berry. Lyle was a proud member of the American Legion for 55 years. He served in the Army during World War II and in the Korean conflict. Lyle was united in marriage with Beverly Studnicka at the Blue River Valley Church in 1968. He loved over the road truck driving. When he retired from that, he worked as a security guard at the Richland Center Foundry and as a bartender. Lyle had great success at mushroom hunting—almost as much luck as going to the boat to gamble, and more than his luck at fishing.
Lyle is survived by his wife of 44 years: Beverly Berry of Boaz

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and his sister and brother in law: Meriam and Ed Luttig.
Memorial services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Pastor Duane Thomas will officiate. Military rites will be provided by the local veterans military memorial honors unit. Friends may call at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL on Monday, December 31, 2012 from 9:00 AM until service time at noon. Burial will be in the Boaz cemetery. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the Berry family.
