Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes accepts challenge from Washington lieutenant governor in anticipation of Packers, Seahawks game
MADISON, Wis. — Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes accepted a challenge from Washington Lt. Gov. Cyrus Habib in anticipation of the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks playoff game on Sunday.
In a tweet, Barnes said he is accepting the challenge on behalf of all Wisconsin residents. With the challenge, Barnes is putting forth “some of our finest food and beverage offerings,” which include Henning’s Cheese Curds, Vern’s String Cheese, Louie’s Finer Meat Sticks and Central Waters Brewing’s Rift IPA.
“Unlike last time, 2015, it’s a new day here in Wisconsin, a new administration, and elections have consequences and those consequences are not going to be in your favor, my friend,” Barnes said. “With that being said we’re going to welcome you all to historic Lambeau Field. We hope you don’t take it too hard, but guess what? The Packers are going to win this one.”
Habib responded “Game on, my friend” to Barnes’ message.
