Louise A Hornung
Louise A. Hornung, age 88, died on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Waunakee Manor in Waunakee.
She was born in the Town of Westport on March 10, 1926, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Wipperfurth) Dorn. She was united in marriage to Alfred Hornung on June 19, 1947 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Waunakee.
Louise loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was welcoming to her family and there was always an extra spot at the dinner table. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, preparing big meals, card playing, and her quiet faith.
She is survived by eleven children, Betty Skidmore, Ken (Elaine) Hornung, Arlene (Gary) Teske, Marian (Jim) Dohm, Joyce (Bob) Dumke, Diane (Rich) McCollough, Dorothy (Bill) Bloedow, Len (Paula) Hornung, Dennis Hornung, Al (Colleen) Hornung and Maureen Fagan; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters in-law, Marie Zeman and Joan Hornung; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 8 siblings and a granddaughter, Missy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. NORBERT’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Roxbury, at 11:00 a.m on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 with Fr. Alex Navarro officiating. Burial will be in St. Norbert’s Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 and also at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
