Loretta M. Reuter, 89 of Platteville passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Manor Care, Platteville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Platteville. Rev. John Del Priore and Deacon Bill Bussan will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, where there will be a parish rosary at 3:45 p.m.; friends may also call after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Loretta was born on August 18, 1927 in Harrison Township, Grant County daughter to J. Henry “Hank” and Laura (Langkamp) Klein. She attended school in Tennyson, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Clifford J. Reuter on April 28, 1956 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Dickeyville, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2012. Together they farmed in rural Platteville. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Loretta enjoyed tending to her garden, birds, cats and her dog.
She is survived by four brothers, Joseph (Eileen) Klein of Livingston, WI; Robert (Delores) Klein of Dickeyville; Nick (Marge) Klein of Bloomington, WI; Paul (Evie) Klein of Strawberry, AZ; two sisters, Marcella Klein and Eileen Birkett both of Dickeyville; brother-in-law, Arthur Schoot of Prior Lake, MN; three sisters-in-law, Phyllis Klein of Verona, WI; Ann Klein of Platteville; and Jane Klein of Dubuque; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers, Vincent, Francis and Larry, one sister, Donna Schoot, two nephews, Bobby and Scottie Klein and one niece, Karen Klein.
