Lola Shirley Alexander
MADISON/ DODGEVILLE -Lola Shirley Alexander, age 90, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014, in Dodgeville, where she was living with her CrestRidge Assisted Living family.
Lola and her family grew up in Madison. She was employed with one of Southern Wisconsin’s most elegant restaurants from the 1950s – 70s. After retiring she enjoyed world travel, fine jewelry, fancy shoes and waltzing with her beloved companion of over 40 years, Keith Bray of Dodgeville.
She is survived by her three sons Rick, Jim, Bill and a very close friend, the daughter she never had, Karen (Jason) Pearson and their daughters who were like grandchildren; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. Further survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. Lola is preceded in death by her father Harvey, mother Ada, brother, Harvey (Sonny) and sister Mernelda.
Funeral services will be held at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave, Madison, at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, with Rev. Mark Clinger officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
