Lois I. Brown
FITCHBURG – Lois I. Brown, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on April 22, 1919, the daughter of Albert and Mildred (Gratz) McClimans. Lois was married to Waldron F. Brown on May 4, 1935. They enjoyed more than 44 years together until his death in 1979. Lois worked at Credit Union National Association (CUNA) from 1962 until her retirement in 1982. She volunteered at Meriter Hospital and also Lindbergh School. Lois loved to dance and enjoyed politics throughout her life. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life. She was their Grandma Lolo.
She is survived by her son, Jan (Linda) Brown of Greenfield; two granddaughters, Rebecca (Tom) Anderson-Brown of Madison and Tiffany (Tom) Horrigan of Oak Creek; three great-grandsons, Bode, Sawyer and Shepard Anderson-Brown of Madison; three great-granddaughters, Avery, Delaney and Quinn Horrigan of Oak Creek; and a special friend, Al Miller of Fitchburg.
A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Luncheon to follow at Veranda Restaurant, 2784 S. Fish Hatchery Rd., Madison.
