Lodi High School locked down as police seek gun

Man injured, glasses smashed in attack

Lodi High School was locked down for about 2 hours Friday as police sought a gun.

Lodi police said it received a “credible threat” at 11:35 a.m. at the school, and the building was locked down. Police did not specify what the credible threat was.

Police said the suspect was in custody Friday afternoon. Police spokeswoman Kathy Skarda said the public was never in danger.

A message with the Lodi School District was not immediately returned Friday.

In an email to parents Friday afternoon, the School District of Lodi said it was a note that led administration to lock down the high school. The lockdown was lifted at about 1:40 p.m., the district said.
