Local wedding vendors scramble to help couples find new venues after Noah’s closes
MADISON, Wis. — After news broke this weekend that all 32 Noah’s Event Venues across the country closed abruptly, more and more local couples are realizing they need to find a new wedding venue.
The company released a letter to clients Monday saying they were ordered by a bankruptcy court to cease operations immediately. This has left hundreds of couples without a venue and unsure if they’ll get their money back.
On Noah’s website, the Madison location lists a $5,900 rental fee for Saturdays. With additional add-ons for decorations, couples could be out thousands of dollars.

Luckily, many in Madison’s wedding industry are coming together to help local couples find a new venue for their wedding. It seems unlikely couples will get their money back. #news3now pic.twitter.com/2T3ufCG1Ss

Dozens of local vendors are stepping up to help.
Mandy Storm, owner of Done By Storm wedding planning, said in the last 48 hours more than 25 couples have reached out to her for help finding a new venue.
She is offering her relocation services to couples that had their wedding booked at Noah’s for free.
“We have a couple brides in March, we have one that was Feb. 28 of this year, so she’s got a couple of weeks (to plan) a complete relocation. All the guests already know, the invitations are sent out, everything is set in stone. As anyone who plans a wedding knows, at that two week mark everything is finalized,” said Storm.
Madison’s wedding industry is coming together to make sure these couples get their special day.
“Some of us have had one couple affected, some have had five or six. That’s a lot of jumbled emotions and a lot of stress,” said DJ Amy Twieg, owner of Polished Entertainment. “Together we just have this really wide web of things that we can do to help out.”
Along with finding a new venue, many couples have to choose a new date, hire new vendors such as caterers and decoration rentals, and find different hotel accommodations for their guests.
“It is absolutely heartbreaking. This is supposed to be a magical day filled with love, and then to have that happen. We’re going to do what we can,” said Storm.
