Local leaders push Biden to take executive action on pollution
MADISON, Wis. — Local officials on Tuesday called on the Biden Administration to do more about pollution.
Speaking outside the Wisconsin State Capitol, the group applauded President Joe Biden’s efforts so far with recent federal infrastructure money but said he should do more through executive action.
“There is more work to do,” Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway said. “The city of Madison stands ready to do that work with the state government and the federal government. We are committed to the defining issue of our time, which is our climate.”
Tuesday’s news conference also included State Sen. Kelda Roys (D-Madison) and a number of advocacy groups, including the National Wildlife Federation Wisconsin.
