Local barbershop gives free haircuts to homeless men on Valentine’s Day
MADISON, Wis. — The Paul Mitchell styling school with Leopold Men’s Salon provided free haircuts to the homeless Friday afternoon.
First United Methodist Church also partnered with the two groups.
Daniel Gibbs, a barber student at the Paul Mitchell styling school wanted to give homeless men a sense of dignity after receiving a haircut. Gibbs’ instructor suggested the best day for the event would be Valentine’s Day.
Gibbs and other students gave nearly a dozen free haircuts throughout Friday afternoon making the event a success.
