Lindiwe Gwaza

MADISON-Lindiwe Gwaza passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Jan. 5, 1960 in Zimbabwe, the daughter of Everisto and Ingabory (Chieza) Gwaza. Lindiwe came to Madison in 1991 and began a new life. She attended MATC, and then worked for the State of Wisconsin, first with the Department of Corrections and the Department of Health till the time of her death. She was an active member of the Apostolic Faith Church. Lindiwe devoted many of her talents and time to her church; the members were her family and she loved them all dearly.

She is survived by her son, Aza Muzorewa, whom she is very proud of; her nephew Nyasha; four brothers, Themba, Lawrence, Joseph (in Zimbabwe), and Stephen (in the UK); and sister, Annah (Gwaza) Sango (who was currently visiting with her at the time of death); many cousins including, Tapuwa Mumbiro and Jeanette Madziya; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Maria and Florence.

Lindiwe’s life is difficult to describe without the word happy. She was a woman who personified joy and happiness ever since she declared herself saved in the Lord. It was only befitting for such a character. Cheerful, warm and always wearing a broad smile, she positively impacted everyone who came in contact with her.

Funeral services will be held at APOSTOLIC FAITH CHURCH, 5029 Raymond Road, Madison at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, with the Rev. Charles Schleicher officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
