Linda Lou Marie Ann Caflisch

Linda Lou Marie Ann Caflisch relinquished this life on Thursday, February 13, 2014, after an ongoing 27 year battle with breast cancer.

Linda was born in Baraboo, WI to Wilfred and Genevieve Theisen and was a life long resident of Sauk City. She enjoyed traveling, flower gardening, children, walks, camping at Wisconsin state parks and being by the Wisconsin River watching eagles and canoeing or relaxing at the cabin. Linda was a weaver of rugs, lover of music, seamstress of buttons and rips, stamper of cards, mom, grandma and “GGma”. Linda retired from the Flambeau Corporation after 27 years. She volunteered at the Sauk City Library and for many years was a contributor to the Tomah VA Wish List.

Linda is survived by Donna Schmitz; Linda’s children, Donna Lee (Rick) Hitchcock, Tamara Seiler, Jon (Kathy) Caflisch and Clinton (Kathy Collins) Caflisch; grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Sally Culp and Shirley (Ray) Reutter – “Thanks for being my big sisters” ; and brother, James (Millie) Theisen. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Elizabeth, Arlene Kessenich and Ann Bartholomew.

A special thank you to Laura and Frank Olah, Dr. Varley, Dr. Shah, Dr. Ledesma, the staff at the Sauk Prairie Oncology Department, the nurses and staff at Sauk Prairie Hospital, Maureen and Kari, Pastor Fred Rilling, family and neighbors.

There will be no funeral services but instead, take time to appreciate and enjoy your life , family and friends, the wind on your face, the sun on your back, the cloud formations and the small things that make you smile.
