Linda was a very adventurous person. She was invited on vacation by a close friend to Portland, Oregon and liked it so much she decided to stay, that was in 1980, and Portland has been her home ever since.

She landed an entry level job in housekeeping at a senior care center, and while doing so she returned to college, taking evening classes earning a degree in business, thus providing Linda a path to move her career to the business office of that nursing home, plus other nursing homes over the many years. She had a very special place in her heart for the nursing home residents. She rewarded herself by purchasing a home and a trip to Ireland. She fell in love with Ireland and over the next 8 years made four more trips to Ireland.

Even though she considered Portland her home she stayed true to the Green & Gold. She loved flying back to Wisconsin to tailgate with family at Lambeau Field to see the Packers play.

Linda also became involved in running marathons supporting the right for breast cancer and arthritis. She enjoyed doing these marathons and the many new friends she made along the way.

Linda remained single her whole life, but had two special kitty’s, Bessie and Baily which she adored. Linda made many friends in her lifetime and enjoyed spending time with them. She stayed in touch with a very dear friend Dwight, from her high school days.
