Linda Elaine Deiter
Linda Elaine (Magee) Deiter, 69, of Cuba City, WI, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City is serving the family. Linda was born on March 28, 1947, to Melvin and Helen (Farrey) Magee in Shullsburg, WI. She graduated from Benton High School in 1965 and married Gary Deiter in July of that same year. Linda and Gary farmed in the Cuba City area for 27 years, later moving to Cuba City where Linda worked for over 20 years at Kwik Trip. Together, they loved traveling throughout the United States on their Honda Gold Wing. Linda enjoyed reading (especially in the sun), shopping, and loved attending her grandchildren’s activities. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Linda is survived by her husband, Gary, of Cuba City, daughters Shelley (John) Paquette, of Stoughton, Wisconsin, and Kelly (Glenn) Banfield of Cuba City; three grandchildren, Austin Paquette, Alexander Banfield, and Samantha Banfield. She is further survived by her sister, Sherry (Tom) Fager and brother Larry (Henrietta) Magee, sister-in-law Rita (Chuck) Poll and brother-in-law Ron (Patt) Deiter, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother in infancy, a brother (Merlin), a sister (Darleen), and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Guerdon and Gladys Deiter.
