Lightning causes problems in eastern Wisconsin

More than 3,300 customers without power

Lightning is causing power outages in eastern Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Public Service reports that more than 3,300 people are without power in eastern Wisconsin — mostly in Green Bay, Chilton and Oshkosh.

WPS spokesman Kerry Spees says the peak of the outages was at 3,600 around 5:30 a.m. Monday as the thunderstorms finished rolling in. He says crews were working on the getting customers restored and he expected them to be done later Monday morning.
